What do those letters that are painted on the side of commercial aircraft mean.

BRITISHAIRWAYS for example means the aircraft is operated by Brithish Airways, DELTA means it is operated by Delta 😀 If you mean G-BRLR or N66560 CGTDB etc these are the aircraft registrations mainly used so plane spotters can tick the ac off in their book! Also used to identify an aircraft.

yeh i know those letters each means range, seats , engines, aisles, speed, same applies for all other aircraft, but what does the numbers stand for, some have numbers, tell me that ?
