Just updated my graphics card to a Nivida 5700 256Mb (£99.99) and brought FS Terrian and it make's a big difference to the default scenery.
I nearly stacked by 747-200 into the Alps as I was amazed by the scenery.

Has anyone else brought this addon?

I have FS Terrain - brilliant - but unfortunately I don't have your nice 256Mb Graphics Card (I'm drooling with envy!) Mad

Liono - where did you get that card for £99 ??

Ok, I'm pretty thick when it comes to PCs..... can anyone tell me whether my 9 month old Dell P4, 3.0Ghz, 2048Mb RAM is likely to have PCI Express slots or AGP slots.... ?

I want to order a new Video Card too but I don't want to order one that won't fit..... I think my PC will be the modern PCIe slots.... but if anyone else can give a view, I'd be really grateful !

😉 😂 😀

It is more than likely PCI.

Try this:

Go to Start > Run > Type 'dxdiag'
GO to the Display tab at the top, and then look next to Chip type. It should say AGP or PCI after the chip name.

Thanks for the help FL050, it turned out to be an AGP socket, but this was a useful way of checking... Thanx ! 😉

I decided to spend far too much and order a top of the range Radeon X800 256Mb at a cost of £245.

Right - No more PC spending !
