OK, I know my way around a computer, I am not a dunce at unzipping, moving stuff around, etc. But, I have problems with adding airplanes.
I have added several and they work fine. My main problem is with virtual cockpit, guages, etc.
Also, some airplanes I add show up in FS2004, some don't.
Often I have airplanes with a panel no gauges.
I have started using Flt Sim Manager to add planes and I get a message like can't find file opensky_757_strobe. Obviously a light file, but where is it or where can I find it?

Put the gauges in the main FS gauge directory.
Don not leave them in the aircraft folder, copy and paste them into Fligh Simulator/Gauges.

Try this:

My Computer is an icon on your desktop, double click on it.
Inside your main drive icon is "C".
Double click on that.
Look for a folder "Program Files".
Double click on that.
Look for a folder marked "Microsoft Games".
Double click on that.
Now you have a folder Flight Simulator.
Double click on that.
Laid out are all the simulator folders.
Follow the read-me that came with the aircraft.
