Hi - firstly apologies, I also included this question in another post so sorry if you've had to read it twice.
Ok, so the Internet is full of good priced Graphics Card upgrades, but they seem to be in 2 different formats.... PCI Express (PCIe) or AGP.
I'm trying to find out what type is likely to be in my PC ;
- Dell P4
- 3.0Ghz
- 2048Mb RAM
RadarMan - I think I have the same Graphics Card as you (Radeon 9800 I think), so you might be able to answer my question real easy !
Thanks for any help ! 😉
Try using this, it should tell you everything you need to know about your system:

😀
99jolegg is right, Belarc is a great tool.
You most likely have a AGP socket (brown). The other PCI's are white.
The 9800 is AGP.
As for a PCI mother-board, if Belarc doesn't tell you contact Dell, I doubt the you have it.
Thanks guys - I downloaded a help sheet from www.crucial.com and have found that it is indeed an AGP socket.
I have just ordered the ATI Radeon X800 256Mb latest generation Video Card at a (well over budget) price of £245.....
I was going to spend less but thought I may as well get the best possible I can afford, to save upgrading again in a year or so !
Looking forward to getting this beast installed !
Thanks for the help ! 😉
