Why is Level-D Simulations call Level D? Is it just a name, or is there something els behind it?

They call it "D" because A, B and C were already taken. ROFL

Level D sims are ones that can be used for pilot training in some instances meaning the pilot can be checked on type without ever flying the real aircraft.

I just got the Level-D 767. It seems real enough to me. I though the Legendary 727 took some time to learn...GEEEZZZE!
