Air force 1 was here in Rochester NY the other day, and they landed and took off on our little 7999 ft runway. If I hadn't seen that 747 land here, I wouldn't have believed it. plus i hear there was a huge transport plane that landed a day earlier.
Normally, we only get 737's and other small aircraft here.

Does anyone know the minimum runway needs for these planes?

The 747 needs 7200ft minimum for takeoff at normal weight.
At maximum weight, it needs around 11000ft.

So the runway is well within the limits for a 747 to takeoff and land safely.
