so that it uses a virtual cockpit from another plane? For instance, I downloaded a non VC boeing 757 and I would love it to use a virtual cockpit from atleast another plane like the boeing 747 or 737 or something, does anyone know how to do this?
Sigh....
Here I go again, just like I explained to you a week or so ago: no, it can't be done. The virtual cockpit (VC) is part of an aircrafts model. If such a model has no VC, that's just it.

you must either repaint a VC plane to the color u want then u dont have to worry about anything. Or u can try to copy the model of a VC plane and out that model file in the plane that doesnt have the VC.
BUT!!!!!! the planes must be the exact model and most likely the same maker. Try www.projectopensky.com they help u paint and they got a 757 with VC and w/out VC.
Oh ok, thanks for the link 🙂 .

Sorry
you may be able to plug in a virtual cockpit from a diff model by using GMAX. but it would be way too much trouble. better to swap livery on an existing plane that has all the bells and whistles that you want than to try and mess with the model (not sure if gmax can reverse engineer a .mdl file anyway)
Thanks for the information. Where can I find this GMAX tool, and is it free?
GMAX is free and it's on disk #1 of the flight sim.
Ah yes, I see it, thanks! It seems impossible to not get a question answered here 😉

I am trying to install the Pai installer onto fs2004 but i am finding it hard work. I don't understand when it says to place the Pai installer in a folder of your choice - can anyone help me out here? - thanks stevet 😕
Hi SteveT!
"(...) I don't understand when it says to place the Pai installer in a folder of your choice (...)"
This basically means that it doesn't matter where you place it. I usually put stuff like that simply on my Windows Desktop for the duration of the installation process. After installation has been completed and everything works alright, I shove installers and/or exe's and/or zips out of sight on my 160 Gigs E-drive which is for FS9 and its add-ons and bits and bobs only.
To wrap up the answer to your question in only three words: Desktop will do.

Thanks for your help! 🙂
See what I mean? 😀 😉
You were right! It works, it works! No question remains unanswered (grin)!
