I'm going to get a new computer, dose anyone have a suggestion on what brand to get, besides Dell? And should I get 512 MB of memory or 1GB?
Thanks.

Have them put the ram that they give you in 1 socket so you can buy ram cheaper to fill the other 1 or 2 sockets. You want a gig at the minimum, probably 1.5 to 2 for the next version of the flight sim.
Check out Hardware Forum, there are some good companies building gaming machines now at nice prices.

Check online to see what you want(some sites let you build from scratch ) and to see what the price is likely to be about
Then check your locak phone book for any PC specialists and get a quote from a couple, check their after sales service while your at it

Buying local can save you money, because you get exactly what you want and espesally when things go wrong Hack

Or how about building one yourself(this used to be the cheapest way,but nowadays its pretty hard to beat some companies prices)
Self build can be nerve racking Fear but when it all goes to plan its very rewarding 😀

You pick all of your parts so you still need to know what parts to pick. This is a great site for computer help: http://www.forum.pcmech.com

Have you thought about building your own computer? It would save you tons of money, and you would get the experience first hand. There are tons of people who can help you out in the second link I gave you. Just register (Its free) and post your questions in the "Build Your Own PC" section. They will help you out and tell you what you need to do. Email me at mstevens901@cox.net if you have any questions.

Hope this helps,
