Some areas of the world still use the DC-3, remember the one that just went down in (I think) Florida.
You know Catalina, the island off of the coast of Long Beach? They fly from Long Beach to Catalina landing strip. I've seen them land there when we flew over for lunch. Thanks for the links.! 😀
does the USA still use the L-1011, DC-10 and DC-3

Yes, as I statted up above, they still use the DC-3s on a cargo route from Catalina to Long Beach. 😀
john travolta flys his own 707. I remember seeing him come over to the UK in october 2001 to try to convice people still to fly.
I'm sure he could have got something a bit newer for his money.
I think the 707 is stilll good. 🙂
NW still flies Dc-10's, and ATA still flies L1011's. There is only one 707 still in passenger service today and its in the middle east. There are many, many DC-8's flying cargo though.
Are 717s or 727s still in use?

Trump has a 727, so does Forbes.
I don't think any airlines stll operate 727's
