Hello! Just wanted to come and say hi. Just signed up to this as I love the look of some of the downloadable add-ons. I've had a few editions of FS, 95 and 98 I think, definately 98, and whatever the previous one was. Finally convinced the wife to buy me FS2004 and joystick for anniversary present.
I'd love to chat to people who are FS enthusiast. Although I've had previous versions, I've never got into it's full capabilities, just general flying and thats it. Would love to get into online interaction, although not sure what that involves, I hear theres ATC people online too. So would love some guidance and advice.
In addition to the instant messaging IDs below (I can't add the MSN/Yahoo IDs to my profile as they are too long - 😕 ), I use Skype: john04o so please get in touch. I love making new friends.
As detailed below, why not check out my Live365 radio station, which is a Christian music station, but not preachy, mainly just music station, with great presenters mainly from US, Canada and UK.

for downloads check out www.simviation.com and also www.avsim.com
for online ATC you'll need broadband and then go to www.vatsim.com
form their you download sqwarkbox and then you can connect to the network and chat with the ATC controllers.
any questions about anything post it here.
If you need help installing downloaded aircraft do a search here, theres been loads of topics on that.

I'm running a laptop with 1ghz, running 384MB ram, which has recently been upgraded from 256....32mb of that is for memory. So its all running better than it was before.
I have 2mb broadband, which Im sure is more than good enough for online gaming, but will laptop / flying perfromance be affected while playing online
Also, how exactly does multiplayer work....its not like a sports game where you play against each other.....hope im not being too stupid!
actually, multiplayer is when you connect to the session, then you can see all the other people flying with you in the same session that you are in!! preety cool feature if you know what session to connect into and what people are in eaach session!! (so you could plan somethin w/friends i.e. "meet me in this session at this time", so then you could all fly)
thats just an example, but multiplayer feature's pretty cool! 😀 😀 😀
