I had my fourth airplane ride in it when I was 8 years old in 1941. The pilot also let me handle the controls. I started taking flying lessons, using my paper route money, at 12, and I soloed on my 16th birthday. My dad wouldn't let me have a driver's license until I was 18 but I had my very own pilot's license at 16.
I hope you all have as many good years ahead of you as I have behind me - and a huge thanks to you all for making this forum what it is: Fabulous!
