Log Book problems

Hi,

Just got the FS2004, but I have lots of hours in 02 and 00 and before that...
I'm having trouble with the auto update of the log book...
1. Do you have to select the Log book everytime you fly?
2. my FS2004 sends and error report to MS at the end and the flt hrs are not logged on restart as in FS2002???
