Reported in the UK daily national press (with a picture of the damaged plane) - After clipping trees on take off from Ireland for Lisbon in Portugal a pilot flew a Cessna 210 for 379 miles with 5ft of the port wing wing (16% of wing area?)and the aux fuel tank missing - he noticed the "problem" when the fuel gauge flashed empty (after thinking he had a bird strike on take off)
Will someone explain why, with the very big difference in lift accross the c/l, the plane did n't simply roll out??? How did he manage to trim the plane out??
When I clip trees in FS I'm not so lucky!!
