If you are running XP and have auto update set(recommended 😉 )then you should be up to date

Click Start/all programs/and at the top should be window update, click that and se if your pc updates

Or try running the DirectX diag tool
Click Start/Run and type dxdiag

Hope its all ok

Start-accessories-system tools-system information. From there click on tools in the menu bar and select DirectX diagnostic tool. Near the bottom of the screen you will see the version of DirectX you have.

Tom and Warhawk Gentlemen,

how is it that you both gave me completely different instructions, yet the result is exactly the same 😳

That's what I mean when I say computers are driving me nuts Hack

Thank you kindly Gentlemen with your help I've established that I'm up to 9.0c - and yes Tom, it's probably due to the fact that I've got my auto updates enabled

Cheerio 🍻

Aaahh... Bill - he deserves it. Where would we be without him?

He doesn't come around my place a lot, but what I've seen of him, he seems an amiable kinda guy and I don't get the impression that he's stingy, either.
So why don't we raise our glasses and toast him...

The first time I've seen someone actually realize that computing wouldn't be as popular as it is today if it wasn't for BillG, and thanks for FS9 also.
