Charts

My paper charts are starting to show some wear. What I'd like to do is get charts on a DVD-ROM and I see several options. The question is how good are they and can I print out sections on plain paper (8-1/2x11) so I can keep them in a binder. If so, which are best, cheapest, etc?

I'd already looked at those, but was wondering whether the additional software they link to was necessary or if one could manipulat (zoom in, etc) and print them right from the DVD-ROM. They appear to be TIFF files so I suppose I could use them without additional software.

Greekman,

I never mind answering your questions.

The charts are too large to be easily scanned, but their are sites around, such as the one Radarman pointed to that do produce the charts on DVD-ROM. I know that Jeppeson has simcharts, but they are a little more expensive. I'm just hoping that someone who has actually used any of these products can tell me what they think of them.

Consider posting your question in a new thread instead of hijacking a thread on a totally different subject?

Oh, sorry. I didn't know that...

Well, do you know this site www.fscharts.com? They have some cool charts too.

I have a big folder full of charts. It comes very handy! 😉
