Being a reletive Noob to flying planes, I just wondered what would cause my APP (on IFR) to mistake the ground level and try and land about 10ft lower than the runway?
I am flying on altimiter 29.92 and landing on 9L at EGLL.
I always shut off the A/P at about 100ft, and begin to flare the plane to ease it on to the runway.
But the barometer isn't always 29.92. Did you press "B" to set it to current conditions. I'm assuming you are using some form of "variable" weather rather than the setting where it is always 29.92.
