Hi,
Okay so I wanna get the Gold Edition of FSX (combines the Deluxe Edition and the Acceleration expansion pack into one)

I know that it is one very power hungry game and the cons of it, is that it requires a high end PC to run it.
Okay so I have Dell Dimension C521, specs are here:
--- AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+
--- 2.9 GHz
--- 3.0 GB RAM
--- Radeon X1300 Series (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM) Video Card
--- 200GB+ HDD

How would my PC fair while running the game? Obviously I wouldn't push all settings to the highest quality, but how playable would it be?

That's a laptop if I'm correct.
I Would say below default, maybe a low medium.
Some of that ram is being used by the operating system and some by the video card.
Doesn't leave much for the Sim.
