Hello,

Does anyone know where I can download a C-141A for MSFS2020? I am willing to pay a fee for it.

C-141A for MSFS 2020

Hi Jim,

As far as I know, there is not currently a fully native, payware-quality C-141A Starlifter available for MSFS 2020. I would love to be wrong on that one, as the early short-fuselage A-model would be a great fit for the sim.

What you will mostly run into are older FSX/P3D-era C-141 models, and those can be a mixed bag in MSFS. Some exterior models may be made to appear in the sim with conversion work, but the cockpit, gauges, animations, flight model, sounds, and systems are usually where things fall apart.

If you want to keep looking, I would check in this order:

  1. The MSFS in-sim Marketplace.
  2. The usual freeware MSFS sites.
  3. The major payware stores.
  4. Developer announcements/forums for military transport projects.

When checking any listing, I would look carefully for wording like:

  • Native MSFS model
  • MSFS 2020 compatible
  • Custom cockpit
  • Not an FSX conversion

If it only says FSX, FSX Steam, or Prepar3D, I would assume it is not a proper MSFS aircraft unless the developer specifically says otherwise.

One other thing to watch for: some aircraft may be labeled simply as a C-141, but they may actually represent the later stretched C-141B rather than the original C-141A. So if the A-model is important to you, check the screenshots and description closely.

Sorry I do not have a direct download recommendation for you at the moment. If you are open to a C-141B, or even another large military transport in MSFS, there may be more practical options, but for a true C-141A in MSFS 2020 I have not seen a solid native release yet.
