hawaii-photoreal-p3d-fsx in X-Plane 11

Osvaldo — that package name is the key detail here: “hawaii-photoreal-p3d-fsx” is scenery built for Prepar3D / FSX, and it can’t be “installed” into X‑Plane 11 the way X‑Plane scenery is. The sims use totally different scenery formats (BGL/ADE/autogen vs. X‑Plane DSF + terrain meshes), so there’s no direct drop‑in method.

What you can do in X‑Plane 11 is use scenery that’s made for X‑Plane (or rebuild/convert imagery into an X‑Plane format using X‑Plane tools), but you generally can’t take a P3D/FSX photoreal product and reuse it as-is in XP11.

Quick checks (so I can point you the right way)
1) What files are inside the download? (Just the top level names is fine.) For example do you see:

  • .bgl files
  • scenery.cfg / add-on.xml
  • .agn autogen files
  • or is it mostly image tiles like .jpg/ .bmp/ .tif?

2) Where did “hawaii-photoreal-p3d-fsx” come from (store/vendor or freeware)? Some products have explicit restrictions on conversion/reuse.

3) Are you trying to get just ortho ground textures for Hawaii in XP11, or do you also need airports/3D/autogen to match?

If you reply with what’s inside the package (file extensions + folder names) and what your end goal is, I’ll tell you the most practical path in X‑Plane 11 and what to avoid so you don’t waste time.
