My own repaint, help!

I would use FSRepaint - its a very user friendly program for beginners :

Get either Photoshop or Macromedia Fireworks. They are both capable of making great repaints. Though most tutorials use Photoshop, Fireworks works very similar to Photoshop, so you won't be completely lost
Unfortuneatly they are not freeware
