Oh wow we definately have some tough competition here.
What would you say FSX needs most of(RAM,CPU,VIDEO)?
Hey GundamWZero, Quite a system you got going there especially with all the cool acessories.
how do you find the x52,ive always wanted to get one but i couldnt justigy spending $$$.
Besides the awesome throttle and all those buttons how do you find the joystick stacks up to a $30 one from walmart?
Oh, its awesome!!!! I won't be buying any more flight controlers for a while.....to be honest, I think the controller is too advanced for current flight sims or games: for example, the trigger is actually two buttons in one. You squeeze the trigger slightly untill you hear the first click, thats Trigger 1. Continue to squeeze more and you'll get Trigger 2. You also have a mouse built into the throttle, great for accessing certain windows during flight.
There are downsides to it though: the rudder controls are in the flight stick (which makes me think WalMart). At least Thrustmaster had their rudder controls in the throttle..... for the X52, you will have to buy the optional rudder controls. Good for the added realism, but should have came with the system. Also the system doesn't have Force Feedback, but who needs force feedback?
FSX needs all three (CPU, RAM and Video). Last generation equipment may handle FSX between minimum and recommended settings, but if you want the system to be perfect, you will need a dual core processor (for processing speed) at least 2 gigs of ram (again for speed) and a good graphics card to max out FSX settings for it to scream. And with those kinds of upgrades you should invest in a powerful power supply, because those componets will eat it up.
