Default Night Textures on Tarmac and Taxiways

Guys, I have a question. Without any night texture addons, by default, are the tarmac and taxiway textures at night lit up or does it actually blend in with the night making it dark? Does my FS2004 have a glitch in the night texture addon making it not work?

not all airports got them lit up. go to a major one such as o'hare and see if they have them if not there something up. get ones of avsim if it dont work.

Here's a screenshot of what I'm talking about:

No matter what I do, even with addons, the tarmac and taxiways are always visible at night. Do I need to change something with the files in my flightsim folder?

It's Seattle Airport with taxiways and tarmac showing up at night. I wonder how you get rid of them so that they would be dark and blend in with the night textures. I tried several night texture addons but nothing seemed to work.

2 questions:

1. Is there a specific addon that will blend the tarmac and taxiway textures into the darkness? Like did you try it out on your flightsim and it works? If so, where should I send the addon to which folder?

2. By default, is this what the tarmac and taxiways look like at night without any night textures addon?

Please help me, I really want to get rid of the bright night textures!
