How do you take screenshots?

As your useing FSX you can just press V and it will save the pic in your Picture's folder on windows.
With winXp , As well as using FSX [V] I use [prtScn].
FSX [V] is only available in game views, to capture the CRASH pic or windows pages use [prtScn].
pressing [prtScn] key saves whatever is displayed on the monitor to the clipboard. [alt] + [prtscn] saves the selected window to clipboard.
Then I open windows paint program and paste what was saved. I use paint to edit and add other pictures with {paste from} tab.
Below is [prtScn] of a settings page and FSX [V] of virtual cockpit view cropped and saved as a jpg.
