Red V ina horizon bar appeared during a gusty crosswind landing. It's centered in any view and stays centered during pan. It's only present in one saved free flight.

Never seen it before. Recently upgraded motherboard and 1 1/2 year old FSX is actin "FUNNY".

It's the axis indicator. You can turn it off by right clicking> Axis Indicator> off.

It helps you line up to the runways correctly and fly straight.

Ahem... Real pilots don't need any stinkin axis indicators. Besides I though they were used on WWII Aircraft to locate 'axis fighters' 😂

Many real world pilots make a mark on the perspex to give a visual reference.
