As a fresh/guest user, if you can point me to the already posted answer, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm looking for a VR helicopter setup.  I was thinking Oculus or Meta headset, but I also need a dedicated PC or laptop to run the software.  I checked my current laptop and it will not run the software, so I'd like to buy something used or even new, but it will be soley dedicated to running the software.  I'm going to get a chair and controls, etc..., but my main concern is a compatible headset, software and desktop/laptop to run it all.

Thoughts?

For a VR helicopter setup, you're on the right track with considering Oculus or Meta headsets, as they offer good compatibility with various flight simulation software. The Meta Quest 2 is a popular choice because it’s relatively affordable and has a solid library of VR experiences.
