Hi all,
Please go easy on me, as I’ve been away from sims and PCs for years.
Back in the day I bought a lot of flight sims (as far back as Jane’s Israeli Air Force), played them briefly, then moved on without really mastering them. Now that I’m retired, I have dozens of boxed sims and add-ons.
After looking into compatibility issues with modern systems, I decided it would be best to buy a refurbished retro system on eBay. Since the most common OS for these games seemed to be Windows XP, I purchased a PC running Windows XP SP3 with the latest drivers, etc., very cheaply.
The first game I installed was Flight Sim X Gold Edition with the Acceleration expansion pack. That went like a dream. I’d never even opened the cellophane wrapping, but it installed instantly and I was able to register both products using the UK customer support line.
I was also able to install CFS 3, but I can’t find a way to register it. I have the key, but the PC has no internet access (I use a Mac). Is there any way I can use the key to register?
Many thanks,
Andy
