Some models have a copyright notice and prohibit repainting except with their permission. I will assume that it means I can not make a repaint I do publicly available. Obviously, they can't stop me from repainting their model and using it solely for my own enjoyment since how would they even know. But what happens if I make a screenshot available where it can be viewed by the public?
