I installed a Promaster digital card reader once with no instructions on a WXP w/PS2 installed. It took over everything just like that dang McAfee or Norton does. It was also USB. I had a heck of a time getting rid of it but I finally got my regisetry celaed out and I have never put it back since. My advice would be to take it back. Unless it is installed as hardware to you mobo I wouldn't do it.

Good luck...!!!
Regards,
Ed
