just saw something about this on the news. it said those on the coast of nz and fiji should brace for a possible tsunami. just a warning

No panic for tsunami...It was just an earthquake not a nuclear test....

Because for a tsunami, the sea flor must move enought to elevate the ocean level, as in the south east of asia one year ago.

Well, i heard that the scale was about 7,2 richter, and that the US tsunami alert center cancelled all suspects of a tsunami heading NZ coasts. 🙂
