whats this Flight Gear download like?

What is that download named flightgear in the newz area. what exactly does it do and how does it affect default microsoft flight simulator and the aircraft i have added. i would like to know befor i download it along with some planes that go with it.

it's a freeware flight simulator - tis not a patch on msfs

i know its a freeware simulator, but is it beter than MSFS2004, or does it have special abilitys that FS2004 does not have, thats my question.
Im not sure about it but I can't see a freeware simulator being better than one we have all payed good money for 😉
...i'd stick with FS9 😉

ok than, i will not download it, also Hinch, i found a downloadable seafire on that site you gave me a while back its perfect, thanks.
