I hope they thought about this, it gives a lot realism to the FS

Just a guess but I think that would use up to much of the CPU resources just like shadows do now if you use them for the ground scenery.

DX10 puts most of the gfx via your gfx card so who knows 
I have seen one video where at the end they show an artists impression of what fs10 will be like with DX10 and it shows sunbeams streaming through the clouds
yeah directX10 video games will definetly look realistic with that CANT WAIT!!!!
