Hi guys,
How do I look around the virtual cockpit? I know + and - controls the zoom, and the number pads look left and right etc, but I want to get views like these on Wings of Power, where you can see the side door etc: http://uk.gamespot.com/pc/sim/wingsofpoweriiwwiifighters/screenindex.html
I'm don't use a joystick, just the keyboard. Don't know if that makes a difference.
Try panning all the way to one side, the view should move behind you and you should see the wings. Try pressing 1, 2 or 7,9. Not sure which one is to look behind. I don't think it matters if you don't have the joystick. Keyboard 's just fine. 😉
There's a program called F1 View and it works similar to a joystick when considering views. To get views of doors, cabins and stuff like that, usually it's not possible with freeware, only payware for instance the PMDG 737 NG 600/700. The frame rates could drop quite low on that depending on your PC spec. A payware to look around cockpit is Active Camer. Don't know how that works, haven't tried it.
You should use a joystick, it makes everything easier. Most people use the Hat or view switch to see in any of eight horizontal views with the flick of your thumb. It also makes flying much, much better and more realistic. A $20 joystick is better than flying with the keyboard.🙂

I'm hoping I'm going to get a joystick as a birthday present in October. I've been dropping hits! 😉
