Hi all.. (Yes i registered, this forum is worth the money)

I am starting to get the hang of the FMC but sometimes when putting in things like departure gate it tells me 'NOT IN DATABASE'

Where can i get the updated database?

You do not need to insert the gate.

In 5 words:

Do POS INIT
Enter Departure point and Destination.
Select DEP/APP and enter a Departure (meaning SID not gate), transition.
Click ROUTE and complete the rest of the route.
Again DEP/APP and select runway for landing, transition, STAR.
Go through PERF INIT, enter weights, fuels, cruise altitude, N1, T/O etc etc.
