Can a Radeon X1800 with a core duo 2.0 ghz and 2gb of ddr2 ram run fsx well?
BTW, the model computer I am referring to is the Alienware Area 51 m5750... Maybe that will help you guys figure it out.

It'll be good, if you load Vista you'll need more ram.
I have the Duo 2 6700, 4 gigs of DDR2, your Alien is owned by Dell.
Look at Gateway FX530XG.
Thanks Radarman for your help. One more thing. In your opinion, is the X1800 a better card than Nvidia's 7900GS?

The X1800 is a great card, I've never used the Nvidia cards so I can't help there.
I use 2 ATI X1950's in Crossfire.
Well, speaking from the Nvidia side of the house, graphics-wise, one 6800 GS card works fine for FSX for me. I know that if I want even faster frame rates, I will have to go with the dual core proocessors. If I want better graphics, all I have to do is activate the second 6800GS card!
Just my personal opinion, the Nvidia cards performs better than the ATi cards. 😎
