Hey,

Installed FSX today on Vista. Then installed FSX SP1. When I load the game and click "Fly Now" when the load bar gets to the "Loading
Autogen Scenery" bit, Vista says:

Microsoft Flight Simulator X has stopped responding!

It does this every time, and I can't play the game!

I have also noticed that when loading (at the splash screen), a load bar comes up with :

Generating scenery file indexes.

I thought this should only happen at the first run of FSX. On my PC, it happens every time I run FSX.

Anyoen have a solution?

Here is the error report from Vista:

Hmmmm....

It looks like the autogen may be corrupted or something. I would recommend trying a reinstall of FSX (remove SP1 first, then re-install). If the problem still exists, maybe someone here can help you with resetting the cfg files (I'm not too sure on that part).

Also may I add, fly it before you add SP1.
Be certain that it works, don't add anything and defrag before and after installation.
