CH Flight Sim Yolk

Just bought a new yolk. Had an old one but could not use it on the new computer. The gear switch on the new one only works in the down position for both extending and retracting. When I go to settings in FSX it does not give me the option to use both up and down on the switch. I can only set it up or just down to cycle through the gear. On the old yolk I could retract the gear buy going up with the switch and extend by going down with the switch. Any replies would be appreciated. Thanks

That's most likely just the way the yoke is designed. I'm using a joystick (Saitek AV8R-01 "aviatior") and the switches on it are the same way.
Look on the bright side: Rather than using one switch for only one function...you can get two functions per switch. Toggle up is one function; toggle down is another function.
