Flying AI Aircraft

I've got a few AI Aircraft in fs2004 that I'd like to try flying. All of them are in the Aircraft folder. How do I add them to my Aircraft lists?

You cannot fly ai aircraft.

Errr....actually you can, if the ai is in your aircraft folder you have to add a panel and sound to it, then change a few things in the CFG file like
ui_manufacturer=AI to

ui_manufacturer=Boeing (If it's a Boeing that is) and then maybe a few others like
ui_variation=
Then it should become flyable 🙂 .
But i recommend you don't, as it will no way handle like a decent addon aircraft, i suggest you just look for a decent addon for the aircraft you want!

Handling can be dealt with.

Can you please provide a tutorial of what needs to be done?

Well if you want a good FPS aircraft, AI is the way to go, as long as you have the time to edit the aircraft.cfg 😉

Well, this comes from one of the aircraft I want to fly:

[fltsim.0]
title=AIA 737-300 Air China
sim=aia_737_300
visual_damage=1
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=
atc_id=B2906
atc_airline=Air China
atc_flight_number=544
ui_manufacturer=Adobe's Traffic Pack
ui_type=B737-300
atc_parking_types=GATE,RAMP
ui_variation=Air China
description=AI Aardvark 737-300
atc_id_color=0000000000
atc_parking_codes=CCA

What needs to be changed there to enable me to fly the plane?

Following is the [General] section of the CFG. It is long!

Does anything in here need to be changed?

Do some research into the actual FDE's of the 737-300 and compare them to your own figures and try and make them as accurate as possible 😉
PS: Im not too sure my self how to convert them to flyable, try referring to the above posts

I'm using traffic 2005 (just flight), where I'm lucky...it has its own .exe program for installing its AI aircraft to flyable, all 63 types of aircraft with from 2-60 liveries each (might be more), an added bonus aswell that they all come with a cockpit!
That probably wont help you, but at least you know that there are AI addons that have that function.

Adobe's Traffic pack seems to me to be more detailed. Their 737-300 model has 111 liveries. That's why I'm so interested in converting them.

Are there any programs that convert AI aircraft into flyable planes automatically?

Can I stop you and ask you WHY you want to fly an AI plane anyway???

There are like a million flyable planes out there, what makes this particular AI plane so special? Have you checked to see if there is a flyable version of it anyway?

It's the Adobe AI traffic pack. There are more liveries in each of the 200-odd AI craft than I could ever find and install in my life. And some of those liveries are unique to the Adobe pack.
