Could you tell me what you used to use for a graphics card and what differences you noticed and what currently are your system specs?

previous system:
ati radeon x1950 pro
4gb ram
pentium 4 processor
this was getting about 25/30fps but it was jumpy and i had the fsx settings on about 50%
new system:
intel core 2 quad core
nvidia geforce 9800 gt
4gb ram
i am getting between 50/80 fps now, i can have the setting pretty much maxed out
it runs ALOT smoother and faster
i found that the biggest noticeable improvements were in water textures, taxying and aircraft manipulation
Traineewhat motherboard are you running? how big a power supply is needed for your system?

First Officeralright even tho the 9800 is a monster i would go with a ATI 3870x2 its way cheaper and also it runs just about the same 😀 or you could get an ATI RADEON HD 2600XT for 74 dollars agp just got to get the right drivers for it tho 😀

I've got basically the same system:
Core 2 Quad 2.4GHz
9800GTX
4GB RAM (only 3GB because on 32bit)
but mine stays at around 20FPS on medium high settings.
Any tips on improving it?
To the OP: The card is great and I would recommend it. Please ignore my FPS problem as i'm sure its due to something I did 
First Officerwindows will recognize and run 4gb of ram on a 32bit system vista or xp
try playing around ith autogen and traffic that may help

Well, Vista 32bit will only use the full 4GB with a command line tweak.
Anyway, thanks for the tip and i'll try tweaking the autogen and traffic.
