Red V ina horizon bar appeared during a gusty crosswind landing. It's centered in any view and stays centered during pan. It's only present in one saved free flight.
Never seen it before. Recently upgraded motherboard and 1 1/2 year old FSX is actin "FUNNY".
It's the axis indicator. You can turn it off by right clicking> Axis Indicator> off.
Thanks,
been flyin the Cub for a year and a half, never been outa Texas.
So what's the "axis indicator" for?
I'm not really sure.
It helps you line up to the runways correctly and fly straight.
Ahem... Real pilots don't need any stinkin axis indicators. Besides I though they were used on WWII Aircraft to locate 'axis fighters' 😂
Many real world pilots make a mark on the perspex to give a visual reference.
