MISSING "FLY NOW" BUTTON

HI. in my fsx se in free flight the "fly now" button is missing. no way to start a flight. dovetail games was no help.
didnt have this issue with boxed fsx.

Found this elsewhere.
Hope it helps you, it did help them.
the sim does default initially to "full screen" so find in FSX.cfg
[main] section and look for (probably this)
Maximized=1
change to either
Maximized=2 // maximized window
or
Maximized=0 // resore size window
You might also search for the line in the cfg that starts with
Situation=something,something
comment it out so the game starts with the original defalut flight (if it doesn't already)
//SITUATION=C:\Users\Dad\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files\alt_default
you may also want to try starting the flight directly without going through the create menu:
[STARTUP]
SHOW_OPENING_SCREEN=1
and change to
SHOW_OPENING_SCREEN=0
Save and restart sim
