I can't get Malta Photoreal scenery to load

I've copied the scenery files into the 'addon scenery/scenery' folder but when I try to 'add area' in FSX scenery library it says "no items match your search" 

I've tried two methods. From 'settings' and in flight

FSX doesn't seem to see " ***.bgl " files ( the file suffixes in the Malta Photoreal Scenery folder ).

In desperation I've tried the files within their folder and the files out of their folder (directly into the  'addon scenery/scenery' folder).

I've tried all methods in both FSX and in FSX Steam Edition, all without success.

Could someone please point me in the right direction.
