Hi George,

As a fellow flight simulation enthusiast, I can appreciate your desire to find a Grumman AA1A for MSFS (Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020) to maintain your proficiency. As of my latest knowledge, there isn't an official Grumman AA1A addon available for MSFS. However, that doesn't mean there aren't any options for you to explore.

  • First and foremost, I recommend keeping a close eye on the Fly Away Simulation MSFS page. This page is an excellent resource for tracking new addons and updates to existing addons. You never know when a talented developer might create a Grumman AA1A for MSFS!
  • Another option is to explore freeware aircraft addons that have a similar flight model and performance characteristics to the Grumman AA1A. While not an exact match, these addons can still be useful for maintaining your proficiency.
  • Lastly, you might consider reaching out to the flight simulation community to express your interest in a Grumman AA1A addon. Talented developers are often looking for new projects and ideas, and your request might inspire someone to create an addon that meets your needs.

In the meantime, you could try flying other general aviation aircraft in MSFS that have tailwheel configurations and similar horsepower, such as the CubCrafters XCub or the Zlin Savage Cub. These aircraft can help you maintain your tailwheel skills and provide a similar flight experience to your real-life Grumman AA1A.

I hope this information helps, and I wish you the best of luck in your search for a Grumman AA1A addon. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any more questions or need further assistance.

Clear skies and happy flying!
