My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 5110 and had Flight Simulator X installed back when I brought it. Laptop hasn't been used for a few years but have got the flight simulator working and running ok despite graphics limits . So I have had Flight Simulator X Acceleration Pack on my laptop since I purchased it and has worked fine but due to Jetstar smashing the screen on the laptop and wouldn't cover it. I've had to use it through another monitor No 2 since it happened. so can make logging on in general sometimes fun. ( Another story there )
unfortunnetely in my many moves I have misplaced the FSX10 disk's but had a Century Of Flight FS9 given to me and I have used that to reinstall it back to the FS10 state every time. But after the uninstall by windows it usually still left folders in the system
So I uploaded an add on and it froze the game. Just sit on welcome screen. So I've once again deleted the game using Revo and then tried reinstalling it but it gave me a bad sector and said to do a scandisk I think on command post so I did and it's said I should do a clean install of windows so I did and now all files gone.
I go to load fs9 and first disk gets to 1% install and says it missing the b737 texture3 BMP file or it's in another program.
So I downloaded the original files and it was one file missing so added it. Was the T..BMP file and then tried to reinstall and it now says missing b747 texture file and won't install but when you access the b747 folder it's empty still and it was creating a FS9 folder now which I have put in it's on folder off C drive but hasn't made it install either. I have the iso file downloaded off archives and the no cd patch but am at a loss what to do. I'm not computer savvy. I just learn as I go.
Any suggestions ??
