I am looking for the best, most detailed, most accurate airliner for FS2002 available for free on the Internet. Any suggestions?

Answered

I'm also looking for a highly detailed F/A-18 (free).

Here are a couple of sites that have fs2002 aircraft ➡

TTT gave you some excellent sites, you can also check these out.

Airliners. Look through these, the largest download is usually the most detailed and has the best sound (unless you want to download separate sound files).

I found a 1962 Beech Debonair on avsim that's a whopping 47162kb. That has to be detailed! 😳

Looks good.
9 different paint jobs (N1768G, N885T, RealityXP, N7991M, KLM, N1768J, G-COLA, D-EIWF, and ZK-MET), two varients (straight and v-tail).
The "V" tail was the first private aircraft I ever flew in, not in 1962 🙄

Great aircraft!

In my folder "Program Files/Microsoft Games/FS2002/Aircraft," there are folders for several aircraft that do not appear in the aircraft list in the program. How can I access those? For example, the DeHaviland Dash-8 is there, but I can't activate it.

Answered

Those are AI aircraft used for traffic and parked aircraft in the program, you can't fly them. 🙂
