Will fs2002 aircraft work in fs2004?

Some do, some don't. Make sure you read the Readme of any particular aircraft you download. The author may or may not have tested it in both.

Often the FS2002 plane undercarriage doesn't display on FS2004

I'll add that if it was made with GMAX it'll probably work.
