Just to get an idea of what ATC you use.
I use the default ATC
😉
I also use the default ATC

Default for me...I find it very poor.Im on thoughst to try Vatsim.I hacve read posts from other users of it and im close to get into.
I use VAtSIM and the defualt actually. With VATSIM it is really realistic but it is more simpler with the defualt AtC for me
Default. Just can't tear myself away from that lady's lovely voice. ❤️

I use VATSIM, or no ATC at all. If I am flying IFR, I'll just navigate my own way. If ATC isn't stuffing up, it gives me vectors to final (in my 747) about 1nm away from the airport. For those of you that know, you cannot turn a 747 and descend to land in 1 nm 😳
😉
I'm now doing VFR on Vatsim. Still screwing up, but nobody has yelled at me...yet.
Default, I've never tried Vatsim, maybe some day.
I notice most of you use the default ATC - Here's the reason for the poll. I have the PMDG 737 which requires a lot of input from the FMC. (Just so you know, I've asked a question based on the same grounds in the past, however this one's a little different.) Anyways, if I want to use the FMC with IFR, my plan will get cancelled. If I want to use it for VFR, I can only request to land about 30 miles out, and that's very unrealistic. I hate flying without ATC, but I don't know why - I feel dependant on them. What do you all do? Your input is greatly appreciated.
The same happens to me with my PSS A340 Professional. I do what the default ATC tells me, otherwise I'll get my IFR flight plan cancelled.
Flying online will not have those problems. Also having Radar Contact will improve the ATC a lot!

I apologize, because I may have not delivered my statements correctly. When flying Free Add-ons, default ATC is perfect, however when using the FMC, you use all sorts of other navigation tools not recognized by default ATC. Therefore, conflict arises between the FMC and ATC. For example, ATC wants me to descend 105 miles out, but in the FMC, it's programmed so that once I reach a specific waypoint, lets say 109 miles out, it'll start descent. As I begin my descent 109 miles out, ATC will start saying, "Climb and maintain FLxxx". I apologize if this is unclear.
(How many times have I posted this? Who knows) 😂
Ditch the stupid default ATC and come fly on VATSIM. You do not know what you're missing. The reality level jumps 100 notches. People are nice and the only rush you get is that of adrenalin. No one is a professional on VATSIM, we are all enthusiasts doing what we enjoy. No one can get killed and no one's night can be ruined. So do not worry and come have fun.
Fridays, by the way, is Mediterranean fly night. Lots of ATC in Italy, Greece, Turkey and all around. You will probably find me online some Fridays, as well as other days.
If you insist, however, it's so unbeleivably distressing when I do all this work to get connected with them, and I get some little error that holds me back. You make it seem as if Vatsim is the best ATC out there, and in the past, you haven't let me down so I'm going to take your word for it and give it a shot sometime. Thanks again, and I aplogize if I was any inconvenience to you.
Please don't apologise - there is no inconvenience after all. What error do you mean? If you mean Squawkbox 2.1 (the previous version), it was horrible. It always disconnected me, I needed 2-3 different programs to run in order to connect. SB3 has solved that and FSINN even better. It's pretty stable and if I get disconnected I can usually reconnect. Let me know if you need help with anything at all.
Thank you very much for the reassurance Bindolaf. For the next few weeks, I'll be a little taken with finishing up last minute projects and studying for mid-terms, so I probably won't be able to work on Vatsim, however I'm desperate to give it a shot some time, so once I'm focused and fully devoted, I'll give it all my effort and let you know how it goes. Again, thank you for all of your aid bindolaf. 😉
I only fly the default ATC at the moment, although when we get a computer that wont laaaagg on super low settings, I'll probably try it out, to add to FS realism.

I am the one who have to apologize, because I misunderstood your topic.
