Air New Zealand - Domestic Routes

I thought that would get Cheekytrolly and Jarred's attention 😂

I was wondering if you gents could give me some typical ANZ domestic routes (routes that begin and end in NZ, and perhaps one or two NZ-OZ routes too).

Appreciate any info !

Thanks, 😀

I just had a quick look and sites suggest that Qantas and Air New Zealand operate most aircraft within New Zealand.

Qantas:

Air NZ:

Hope that helps a bit 😉

No problem 😉 It seems strange to me that the only main internal flight provider is one airline. Bit of a market gap to be had there if you fancy setting up an airline 😂

I'm here I'm here! Surrender Like Pro Sim said as soon as the 'general' forum opened up 'New Zealand' caught my eye and I was soon excited! 😉

Jon gave some good Qantas and Air NZ links, I guess if your going to a main centre (Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch) or smaller towns but big on tourism (Rotorua, Queenstown) then Qantas would be fine to fly with, otherwise you will be flying Air NZ.

As for NZ-OZ routes, the most common airlines would be Air NZ, Qantas, Virgin Blue, and Freedom Air.

Are you thinking of coming to NZ? If you are, CT or I would be glad to help with any air travel questions or anything about NZ in general.

Here are the airline links here:

Hi Jarred!

Thanks for the additional links!

Yes, I most certainly intend to travel to NZ soon but getting married this year so no money for nice trips to NZ until next year at the earliest !

No I was just really getting into flying in NZ on FS, in the wonderful feelThere 737 Pilot in Command add-on (In ANZ colours), I have the 'FS Global' add-on that gives much more realistic terrain for the whole world and also 'FScene' Replacement texures Vol 3 (Oz and NZ) ..... the combination of these two makes for some pretty AMAZING scenery down under!

So I was fancying doing some ANZ flying but wasn't sure of the routes but that link from Jon gives all the domestic links, so looking forward to flying some great routes like Christchurch - Queenstown and Auckland - Hamilton!

But when I'm ready to pop down to NZ for real, I'll definately give you and the 'trolly a shout for some advice !

Thanks,
David 😀

I was going to suggest the air nz website aswell, you can click onto citys in maps of NZ and all the available routes are displayed.

I suggest taking some flights between Queenstown and Wellington across the southern alps with geographx.com 75m mesh installed!

As a UK simmer with the same FS Global and FS Scene add-on's I agree that NZ is stunning for scenery.

I showed a friend of mine who lives in Rotorua and she was blown away by the screenshots too.
