Hi peeps,
I was just wondering if there was a general atep-by-step guide anywhere out there that talked anyone through peforming a flight in an A319?
I am talking along the lines of:
1. - Taxi at 15knots to runway
2. - Align yourself with the centerline and increase throttle to 50%
3. - At 50% ensure both engines are peforming correctly and engage "TOGA"
4. - At 140knots Rotate at XXXX ft/m
5. - At xxxknots decrease climb to xxxxft/m
bla bla bla
Either that, or is anyone willing to write one for me 🙂
I can fly the A319, but I want to ensure that I am doing it properly.
Thanks
Leachus
My PSS A340 Professional has a tutorial that tells me what to do during taxi, takeoff, cruise, landing, etc. I don´t know if the PSS A320 Package, which includes the A319, A320, and A321, has a tutorial like the one I have for the A340. You can ask them if they have a tutorial like that for the PSS A320 Package. http://www.phoenix-simulation.co.uk/
I´ll give you some information for the A319:
The A319 taxiies at 20 knots in straight taxi ways. During turns, taxi between 8-13 knots depending on the degree of the taxiway.
I don´t think you have to increase the throttles to 50% N1 in the A319. It should be less than that.
During take-off, move the throttles to the FLEX gate, not TOGA. TOGA is used when the runway is very short. The engines will apply full power and you´ll take off in a short period of time. Also, TOGA is used for Go-Arounds.
The V-speeds depend on how heavy the aircraft is. You don´t always take off at the same speed.
When you reach 1500 feet AGL, decrease the throttles to the CLM gate.
When you are ready at 30 feet (during landing) decrease throttles to the IDLE gate.
If you need something else, let me know. 😉
I recently wrote myself a little checklist for the PSSA340/A330, you are welcome to use it.

That´s a good checklist spuddi, but I see some mistakes there. I´m not trying to be smartest guy that knows everything about Airbus. I´m just correcting some mistakes.

There are other mistakes I´ve found, but they are minor mistakes. It shouldn´t be a problem. Your guide can be used without any problems 😉
yeah your right about the flaps and speed, they would depend on the aircraft setup.
The reason I have it like that is that it represents the normal flights for me. (I don't do many long-haul so am not often taking off with too much fuel)
as for the strobe. I was never fully sure about when exactly to do strobes on or off so it was a judgement call, cheers I guess i should change it to auto.
You can print out this download.
6th down.
Manual/Checklist Airbus A-319/320/321. In PDF-format as a booklet. From "cold" - Pre Start - Startup - Before Taxi - Taxi - Before Takeoff - Takeoff - Climb Out - Cruise - Descent - Approach - Landing - Taxi To Ramp - Shutdown - Securing Aircraft - to "cold".
We all have normal flights, don´t we? I used to fly a lot from Portugal to Spain or France or Germany, so I knew how much fuel I needed for the flight. My landing speeds were almost always the same.
I don´t exactly know how the strobes work when they are set to Auto, but that´s how it is used. I will find that out, if I can, and post the answer here. I´m 100% sure that they are set to Auto for takeoff.
WOW,
I am so impressed - I am just about to preform a flight now and I will definately get back to you with the results!!!
Many Many Thanks
Today I remembered that I had some useful information about the A320 limitations, performance, and procedures. The A320 is very similar to the A319 and A321 so this shouldn´t be a problem.
I´ve found this information inside one of my CD´s where I keep all the good information I find about Airbus, addons, etc. This will be very useful for you, and for any Airbus "drivers" around.

I have this information printed out and I used it very often. I hope you find this to be interesting.[/url]
