1 FSX aircraft are not compatable with FS9 
2 FS9 aircraft are compatable with FSX(sort of) 👏
The 1st Airbus in FSX

I take it new freeware aircraft will be made for FSX though?

Chief Captainalpha channels in bmp files only work for transparency in fsx. if you take a look in the texture files you'll see an aircraft now needs a seperate reflection map

I think he means in the first one and that it's not opaque, you can see the scenery behind the tail.

Yeh I know, lol, I was refering to the fact that I didn't know what caused it 😉
Chief CaptainTry copying envmap.bmp from your FS9 texture folder to your FSX texture folder, that does the trick to get rid of the transparency 🙂
