Monitor instruments, cross reference, eat, drink, talk and possibly sleep if there is a 3rd pilot 😉

First Officer: Monitor progress, do fuel calculations every 15 minutes, handle communications, monitor hydraulic, electric and fuel systems, sip black coffee inbetween.

Captain: Make witty announcements over the PA, chat with cute air hostesses (term used on purpose here), taste the first class cuisine and make comments, look out at puffy, pretty clouds, drink capuccino, touch of whipped cream, a hint of Grand Marnier.

A flight recently caused panic among the passengers after the pilot went to the loo and came back to find the cockpit door jammed. He had to force it open.

What kind of medication is permitted for pilots? Are things like Ibuprofen and anti-biotics ok or do they have to declare if they are taking anything?
